Checking the lock unit

Check that the lock has not stuck or jammed and that the lock unit is correctly installed.

Also check that the lock position sensor is working by opening the lid and locking the lock manually with the lid open. This can be done, for example, by pressing a pen directly against the lock latch. The boot lighting should go out when locking is completed.

Then unlock with the handle push button. The locking motor should automatically return to its starting position with an audible noise when unlocking is completed.

Do the necessary corrective action.

  1. Boot lid can be unlocked with handle push button and locked mechanically. Troubleshooting has been completed.
  2. Boot lid can only be unlocked with remote control. Refer to Button test .
  3. Boot lid cannot be unlocked with handle push bottom or remote control. Refer to Checking the fuse
