Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information REM-8D14

Condition 

The rear electronic module (REM) powers the stop lamps (LED) directly via an output.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the rear electronic module (REM) registers that the signal at the output is too high.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed at key position II.

Substitute Value 

• None.

Possible Source 

• Short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable
• The stop lamp (LED) is not installed.

Fault symptom[s] 

• The stop lamp lights constantly.
