Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information REM-8D13

Condition 

The rear electronic module (REM) checks the output signal to the stop lamps (LED).

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) REM-8D13 is stored if the rear electronic module (REM) registers that the signal to the stop lamps (LED) is too high or that there is an open-circuit.

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) REM-8D13 can be detected when the stop lamp is not activated.

None.

Possible Source 

• Open-circuit in the wiring for the stop lamps
• Short-circuit to supply voltage in the wiring to the stop lamps
• Defective stop lamp.

Fault symptom[s] 

• The stop lamp does not light when the brake pedal is depressed
• The stop lamp lights constantly.
