Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information REM-8D12

Condition 

The rear electronic module (REM) checks the output signal to the stop lamps (LED).

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) REM-8D12 is stored if the rear electronic module (REM) registers overheating or that the signal to the stop lamps (LED) is too low.

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) REM-8D12 can be detected when the stop lamp is activated.

None.

Possible Source 

• Over heated
• Short-circuit to ground in the cable for the stop lamps
• Defective stop lamp.

Fault symptom[s] 

• The stop lamp does not light when the brake pedal is depressed.
