Condition

The rear electronic module (REM) checks diagnosis from the parking assistance module (PAM).

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) REM-4F42 is stored if parking assistance module (PAM) registers a fault in sensor 1.

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) REM-4F42 can be detected when the ignition is on for 5 seconds.

Substitute Value 

• None.

Possible Source 

• Fault in wiring to back-up warning sensor 1
• Back-up warning sensor 1 defective.

Fault symptom[s] 

• General warning lamp lit.
• The back-up (reversing) warning system does not function.
