Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition 

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) CEM-8E01 is stored if the control module registers a low signal from the back-up (reversing) lamp switch when gears 1 to 5 are engaged and vehicle speed exceeds 50 km/h.

Substitute Value 

• None.

Possible Source 

• Defective back-up (reversing) lamp switch.
• Short-circuit to ground in the cable from the back-up (reversing) lamp switch.

Fault symptom[s] 

• The back-up (reversing) lamp is constantly lit.
