Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition 

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) CEM-1C02 is stored if the control module registers that the L signal is low or that the generator (GEN) is not charging.

Substitute Value 

None

Possible Source 

• The generator (GEN) is not charging because of a missing energy source, a broken belt or faulty diode.

Fault symptom[s] 

• Low rotation speed in the starter motor
• The "Generator not charging" warning lamp is not lit when the ignition is switched on
• The battery discharges.
