Checking connectors

Check connector 54/3R and anti-lock braking system (ABS) connector for contact resistance and oxidation as described in Contact resistance and oxidation , and for a loose contact as described in Loose connections (terminals) .

Check especially for any damage.

HINT: If cause of fault is found, then install the components, connect the connectors, etc. 

HINT: If cause of fault is not found then do not install the ABS control unit.

Is there a fault? 

• YES 

  OKAY:  Troubleshooting has been completed.

• NO 

  Refer to Open-circuit in Control Area Network bus. High speed network. Intermittent fault
