Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition 

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) PHM-001E is stored if the keypad unit/carphone module registers that there is a short-circuit to +12 V in the signal to the handset speaker.

Possible Source 

• Short-circuited to +12 V in the speaker signal between the carphone box and the keypad unit/carphone module.

Fault symptom[s] 

• Handset does not operate.
• Combined instrument panel message that the handset is not functioning.
