Removing Center Tunnel Console
Disconnect the battery lead. See Battery, disconnecting .
Remove:
- the two seat cushions. Pull straight up and disconnect the connector
- the coolbox. See Replacing the cool box .
remove:
- the two screws for the bracket at the seat belt buckles.
Remove:
- the side panels on the center tunnel console
- the panel around the gear selector lever
- the screw mounting on the front center console.
Separate the center consoles by lifting both the consoles and pulling the rear console backwards.
Pull the front of the rear console to the right by approximately 5cm .
Remove the 2 screws at the end of the front tunnel console.
Remove the rubber grommet for the carphone cable.
Disconnect the connector in the front center console (the number of connectors varies depending on the equipment).
Remove:
- the 5 switches in the panel.
HINT: The easiest way to remove the switches is to insert a hand down the back.
HINT: Mark the cable and switches.
Remove:
- the lamp, lighting and ashtray
- the connector, the cigarette lighter and the lighter socket.
Remove:
- the antenna cable at the joint
- the connectors for the DVD player at the rear edge of the console.
