Carry out the check by raising the car so the wheels hang freely.

Possible Source 

• Faulty transmission
• Faulty clutch (M58)
• At least two faults on the All-wheel drive (AWD) system.

Fault symptom[s] 

• The car does not drive forward or backwards
• No disengagement.
