Removing mechanism

Remove: 

• the sun roof. See Sun roof, replacing 
• the drainage channel. See Gutter sun roof, replacement 
• the cable. See Mechanical cable sun roof, replacement .

Draw out the mechanism so that the drive plate can be angled past the mechanism and downwards.

Slide the mechanism further backwards so that the rack and pinion (1) can be removed when it releases from the gear wheel.

Remove: 

• the screw
• the slide with lever by angling the bracket (curved plate) inwards.
