Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information SRS-00F3

Condition 

The Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS) checks the signal from the seat belt buckle.

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-00F3 is stored if the control module registers that the voltage in the signal cable is too high for longer than 3 minutes.

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-00F3 can be diagnosed in ignition positions I, II or III.

• None.

Possible Source 

• Short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable between the seat belt buckle and the Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS)
• Short-circuit to supply voltage in the connector
• Short-circuit in seat belt buckle
• Cross-connection of signal cable between the seat belt buckle and the Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS).

Fault symptom[s] 

• General warning lamp lit.
