Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information SRS-00F1

Condition 

The Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS) checks the signal from the seat belt buckle.

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-00F1 is stored if the control module registers that the voltage is too low or that there is an open-circuit in the signal cable for longer than 3 minutes.

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-00F1 can be diagnosed in ignition positions I, II or III.

Substitute Value 

• None.

Possible Source 

• Short-circuit or open-circuit on the power line between the left front seat belt buckle and the Supplemental restraint system module (SRS).
• Short-circuit to ground in the signal cable between the left front seat belt buckle and the Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS)
• Short-circuit to ground in the connector
• Open-circuit in the signal cable in the seat belt buckle
• Open-circuit in the signal cable between the left front seat belt buckle and the SRS system
• Cross-connection of signal cable between the seat belt buckle and the Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS).

Fault symptom[s] 

• General warning lamp lit.
