Checking parameters

• Visually check if the vehicle is equipped with a front passenger airbag.
• Ignition on.

  Read out and compare the "front passenger airbag" parameter from the supplemental restraint system module (SRS) and the central electronic module (CEM).

  Click the VCT2000 symbol to activate the readout.

  If the vehicle is equipped with a front passenger airbag:

  The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) should respond "With front passenger airbag".

  The central electronic module (CEM) should respond "Yes".

  If the vehicle is not equipped with a front passenger airbag:

  The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) should respond "Without front passenger airbag".

  The central electronic module (CEM) should respond "No".

Does the "front passenger airbag" parameter of both SRS and CEM match the equipment of the vehicle? 

• YES 

  Refer to Verification 

• NO 

  Refer to Programming control module
