Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-00DB will be stored in the event of a number of faults. If an incorrect parameter file has been downloaded into the SRS system. If an incorrect car configuration as to whether or not the car has a passenger airbag has been downloaded into the central electronic module (CEM). Or if the car configuration in the central electronic module (CEM) and the parameter file in the SRS system do not correspond to each other and to the model in which they are installed.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can only be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on (12 V). In other words, the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can only be diagnosed when the ignition is switched from position 0 to positions I, II or III.

Possible Source 

• Incorrect car configuration in the central electronic module (CEM) or incorrect parameter files in the SRS system
• The car configuration in the central electronic module (CEM) or the parameter file in the SRS system does not correspond to the car type.

Fault symptom[s] 

• The SRS indicator lamp is lit.
