Intermittent fault
- Ignition off.CAUTION:
Do not touch the terminal pins in the SRS control module. There is a risk of static discharge which could damage the SRS control module.
Check the connector for the SRS module and for the side impact sensor for contact resistance and oxidation and remedy according to Contact resistance and oxidation and loose connections according to Loose connections (terminals) .
Check the cable between the SRS and the terminal of the side impact sensor connector according to the following:
for diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-00B0,
front left side impact sensor #8A (8), #9A (9) and connector #1, #2.
for diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-00B5,
front right side impact sensor #8C (4), #9C (5) and connector #1, #2.
for diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-00BA,
rear left side impact sensor #27A (27), #28A (28) and connector #1, #2.
for diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-00BF,
rear right side impact sensor #27C (23), #28C (24) and connector #1, #2.
for an intermittent short-circuit to supply voltage according to Short-circuit to supply voltage, intermittent faults and an intermittent short-circuit to ground according to Short-circuit to ground, intermittent faults .
Remedy as necessary.
