Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Motor 4 controls seat front edge height. Motor 4 must be activated before the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be detected. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) PSM-0004 is stored if no Hall sensor pulse is detected when motor 4 is activated and in operation.

Possible Source 

• Defective Hall sensor in motor 4.
• Short-circuit to supply voltage or ground in the signal cable.
• Open-circuit in the signal cable to the Hall sensor.

Fault symptom[s] 

• Automatic seat control does not function (automatic control of other motors functioning as normal).
