Opening hood externally

Remove the wind deflector.

Make up a stable hook.

Insert it beside the radiator.

HINT: There may be a cover / panel in the car (certain engine types). 

HINT: There is an integrally weakened section in the cover / panel which allows the tool to be inserted. 

Hook on to the lock arm and pull downwards.
