Hood Release Cable, Replacing

Remove: 

• turn signal lamp. See Turn signal lamps, replacing
• the headlamps. See Headlamps
• the front section. See Front end
• the air cleaner (ACL) housing. See

  See Remove the air cleaner (ACL) housing (removal), or

  See Install the air cleaner (ACL) housing (installation)

• the soundproofing panel. See Soundproofing panel, replacing .

• the mechanical cable from the locks.

• the cable from the hood catch control. See Mechanism, hood release, replacing .

HINT: Fasten the new cable to the old cable in the passenger compartment. 

HINT: Feed and pull the new cable to the correct position. 

Install: 

In reverse order.
