Checking component
Check that the parcel shelf does not have any large objects on it or that no tinted film containing metal oxides is mounted on the rear windshield. This can affect GPS reception.
Check the cable terminals on the connectors. The cable terminals must not be damaged, pressed back or oxidized.
Check that connector G is correctly connected.
Check the cable between the road traffic information (RTI) control module terminal #G1 and GPS antenna terminal #G1. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage. Check for a short-circuit to ground. Check for an open-circuit.
Check the cable between the road traffic information (RTI) control module terminal #G2 and GPS antenna terminal #G2. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage. Check for a short-circuit to ground. Check for an open-circuit.
Remedy as necessary.
