Troubleshooting information

Condition 

If the CD/MD player has problems with any of the following things the user information registers this.

• The CD/MD player laser fails to focus on the disc.
• Poor quality of read-off signal or disc is rotating unevenly.
• Problem with disc feed.
• Pick-up movement of CD/MD disc does not stop in time.

Possible Source 

• Focusing fault in CD/MD player.
• CD/MD disc selected incorrectly
• Condensation on the disc or CD/MD player.
• Defective CD/MD disc.
• Read-out error in CD/MD player.
• Pick-up error in CD/MD player.
• Disc feed error in CD/MD player.
• Dirt in CD/MD compartment.
• Defective CD/MD player.

Fault symptom[s] 

• No sound coming from the CD/MD player.
• Error message shown in audio unit display.
