Cable routing
- Route the following cables to the cut out for the radio, between the air duct (1) and the stay (2):
- the wiring for the display screen and radio (A in the kit graphic)
- the cable with the ten pin connectors to the display screen (B in the kit graphic)
- the DIN cable to the radio (C in the kit graphic).NOTE: This DIN cable is already routed on cars with CD changers.
- the long black single cable to the GPS aerial (D in the kit graphic).
- Ensure that the straight connector on the loose cable (B) is routed to the cut out for the radio
- Route the blue five pin power supply connector (3) for the display screen and the cable (B) to the left of the air ducts above the cut out for the radio. Continue up through the cut-out for the dashboard loudspeaker
- Secure the wiring in the stay (2). Use a tie strap (4)
- Route the wiring above and along the air duct (1) to the member (5)
- Clamp the wiring at the existing cable harness (6). Use a tie strap.
- Route the cables (1) under the carpet along the left side of the car to the rear door
- Clamp the wiring at the existing cable harness (2)
- Install the protective caps on the lugs (3) for the cable ducts
- Route the wiring further above and along the front cable duct (4). Continue along the right hand side of the rear cable duct (5)
- Connect the cable to the rear ground terminal (6) at the left-hand side of the rear seat. Tighten the screw. Tighten to 10 Nm (7.4 lbf. ft) .
Only applies to cars with a CD changer
- Disconnect the existing ground lead and secure it out of the way.
- Route cables A and B (and cable C if the car does not have a CD changer) under the wiring at the cable duct (1). Continue out through the hole in the car body by the front edge of the wheel arch
- Route the wiring along the inside of the cable duct (2) and the insulation panel by the wheel arch in the cargo compartment
- Pull the wiring forwards and position as shown.
Applies to cars without a CD changer
- Install the small bracket (1) (for the DVD reader bracket) onto the rear crossmember under the left tail lamp. Use the screw (2) from the kit.
