Installing and cable routing the handset holder

• Screw the mounting plates for the holders in the holes (1).

• Mark out the holes for the car phone holder (1). First align the edge of the holder with the edge of the hole (2). Press the holder upwards by 3 mm (7/64"). Drill a hole using a 5 mm (13/64") drill bit. Use a 20 mm (3/4") drill stop
• Install the holder in the panel. Move the plate (3) through the hole for the vent. Screw the holder and the plate into place. Use the two screws from the kit.

• Remove the side panel (1). First twist the clip at the rear edge of the panel a 1/4 turn. Pull the rear edge of the panel outwards and backwards
• Remove the screws (2) for the soundproofing panel (3). Pry off the soundproofing panel at the rear edge until the three clips on the inside release
• Remove the door trim strip panel (4).

• Mark out for the cut-out in the panel for the wiring as shown, 5 mm (13/64")
• Remove the cover (1). Remove the screws (2)
• Angle the upper edge of the panel outwards. Pull the panel outwards. Remove the panel. Detach the panel from the boot
• File the cut out according to the markings.

• Route the wiring from the handset through the hole under the combined instrument panel. Continue downwards inside the left-hand side of the center console
• Pull the wiring along the air duct and down to the right-hand front edge of the seat.

• Screw the handset holder (1) onto the mounting plate (2) using the screw (3). Install the cover (4)
• Route the excess wiring from the handset holder behind the combined instrument panel.

Applies to the Ericsson T20 

• Screw the handset mounting (1) onto the mounting plate (2) using the screw (3)
• Install the handset (4) on the mounting (1)
• Route the excess wiring from the handset holder behind the combined instrument panel.

• Reinstall the boot on the panel
• Reinstall the panel and the trim strip
• Align the wiring in the cut out on the panel.

• Detach the panel (1). Detach the gear selector lever boot using a weatherstrip tool.

• Move the gear selector lever to the rearmost position
• Pull the panel (1) with the boot backwards. Turn the panel as shown.
• Remove the screws (2) from the dashboard environment panel.

• Angle the dashboard environment panel outwards so that it is possible to insert a couple of fingers between the center console and the side of the dashboard environment panel
• Detach the dashboard environment panel by pulling it downwards while maintaining the same angle. Some force is required because the panel is tightly installed. Disconnect the connectors on the reverse of the dashboard environment panel. Place the dashboard environment panel to one side.

• Remove the screws (1) from the radio bracket
• Pull the bracket with the radio outwards at the lower edge. Pull the whole unit downwards
• Disconnect the connectors from the radio. Place the radio to one side.

• Take the T cable (1) from the kit. Connect a connector to the corresponding connector (2) disconnected from the radio
• Take the new cable harness. Connect the connector (3) to the T cable.

• Remove both covers (1) from the front mountings on the front driver's seat. Remove the screws (2) from the front mountings. New screws can be found in the kit
• Tip the seat backward slightly to route the wiring under the carpet.

• Route the cable harness (1) (previously connected to the radio connector) down along the air ducts (2)
• Route the thicker of the cables (3) from the handset holder and the cable harness from the radio connector under the carpet. Continue to the carpet joint
• The thin cable (4) from the handset holder is later connected to the aerial cable routed under the carpet.
