Checking wiring and component

HINT: The hands-free microphone is connected to the phone module (PHM) via a connector in the right-hand A-post.

• Ignition off.

  Check the cable between phone module (PHM) connector terminal A1 (terminal #1) and hands-free microphone connector C terminal A. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage. See Short-circuit to ground, intermittent faults .

  Try replacing the hands-free microphone if no fault is found in the wiring.

  Remedy as necessary.
