Removing the microphone

WARNING: On S80 and V70 (2000-) cars with inflatable curtains, the wiring must not be routed above the side windows. This could jeopardize the function of the inflatable curtain in the event of a collision.

NOTE: Positioning the microphone:

Left-hand drive - right rear

Right-hand drive - left rear

Detach the center console from the floor. See Replacing the rear center tunnel console / center console .

Disconnect the connector for the microphone from the control module. See Replacing the control module .

Pull out and remove the cable for the microphone from the center console.

Remove the side cushion. See Replacing the side cushion .

Remove the C/D post panels. See Panel, C-post, replacing .

Remove the microphone from the headlining.

Remove the cable from the microphone.
