Circuit test, continued

Check the wire between 8 in the cable connector and 3 in the relay socket for an open circuit as described in Open-circuit, permanent faults . If a fault is detected, check in particular the intermediate connector in the cable harness (2) for Contact resistance and oxidation .

Is there a fault? 

• YES 

  OKAY:  Troubleshooting has been completed.

• NO 

  Refer to Checking the components 

• Remove relay 2/115.

  Measure resistance between 4 in the relay socket and ground. The ohmmeter will indicate a short circuit.

Does the ohmmeter display a short circuit? 

• YES 

  OKAY:  Troubleshooting has been completed.

• NO
