Storage and transport
When temporarily storing the driver air bag module, it must be placed with the metal side (reverse) downwards in a well padded place to prevent damage to the surface material.
For longer storage periods (unattended storage), airbag modules, inflatable curtain (IC) modules and other pyrotechnical components must be stored at a dedicated site in the original packaging.
In the event of a fire at the storage site, the fire authorities must be informed about the presence of pyrotechnical components according to the relevant national statutory requirements.
Loose Inflatable curtain (IC) modules must always be stored in Inflatable curtain (IC) racks, or in other approved packaging.
Airbag modules must not be exposed to temperatures above 110°C.
Airbag modules and pyrotechnical components must be transported according the relevant national statutory requirements.
