Removing the backrest (40%)

Fold up or remove the cushion(s) according to CUSHION, REPLACING .

Remove: 

• the side cushion according to Side cushion 
• the lock side piece according to Lock side piece
• the backrest lock according to Backrest catches
• the backrest panel
• the outer head restraint according to OUTER HEAD RESTRAINT, REPLACING
• the half moon clips at the bottom of the backrest by first opening the zip fastener
• the half moon clips in the channels
• the moldings on the frame.

Move the guide to the side.

• Remove the backrest(s)
• Remove the two screws from the end mounting (48 Nm)
• Remove the stop(s) from the seat belt buckle on the fold-down mechanism (hooked into place on the lower edge of the backrest).
