Other Fault-Tracing: Conditions

If no fault has been detected, continue with the following fault tracing procedures.

The fault tracing procedures should be performed in numerical order.

If no fault is detected during each fault tracing procedure, proceed to the next one.

Checking the battery and connections 

Select alternative 1 to check the battery and connections.

Refer to CHECKING BATTERY AND CONNECTIONS 

Checking the starter motor relay 

Select alternative 2 to check the starter motor relay.

Refer to CHECKING STARTER MOTOR RELAY 

Checking the starter motor 

Select alternative 3 to check the starter motor.

Refer to CHECKING STARTER MOTOR 

Checking park/neutral position (PNP) function in gear position sensor (only vehicles with automatic transmission) 

Select alternative 4 to check the immobilizer function in the gear position sensor.

Exit fault-tracing 

Select alternative 5 to exit fault-tracing.

This alternative must only be selected if fault-tracing is carried out for all other alternatives.
