Checking Status

Activate reading off the horn switch.

Check if the fault is permanent or intermittent.

Activate or deactivate the horn switch.

The status of the horn switch must change when the switch is activated or deactivated.

The fault is permanent if the horn switch status does not change.

If the horn switch status changes, this is an indication that the fault was present previously but that it is not active at the moment, i. e. the fault is intermittent.
