Drive shaft, installing

• Remove the seal plug.
  NOTE:

  Do not damage the sealing ring in the transmission or the boot on the drive shaft.

• Install new  bearing cap (steel) for the drive shaft support bearing. Tightening torque: 25 Nm.
• Install the drive shaft to the stub axle.

• Position the mobile jack 9985972 as a support under the control arm.
• Align the drive shaft in the hub
• Lubricate the shaft splines using grease, P/N 1161246-2.

Install: 

• new  screws to the stub axle. Use new  lock nuts. Tightening torque: 90 Nm.
• counterhold 9995683
• the drive shaft nut. Lubricate the nut before installation. Tighten 120 Nm + 60° angle  . Use protractor 9512050 . Remove the counterhold.
