Checking the component and wiring

Check the signal cable between the engine control module (ECM) and combined instrument panel terminal #B5 (#A35). Check for a short-circuit to ground. See Short-circuit to ground, permanent faults . Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage. See Short-circuit to supply voltage. Permanent faults . Check for an open-circuit. See Open-circuit, permanent faults .

Remedy as necessary.
