Removing the rear bumper

Remove: 

Turn the panel inwards on the left and right-hand sides.

(For V40 equipped with extra loudspeakers see Removing / installing additional loudspeakers .)

Slacken off the three screws for the mudguard.

Remove the screw (A).

Press in the catch. Remove the switch for the parking lamp on the bumper (left and right-hand sides).

Place tape underneath the tail lamps and on the tow hitch to prevent paintwork damage.

Remove the two nuts (A and B) on the left and right-hand sides.

Remove the screw (C) on the left and right-hand sides.

NOTE:

Remove the screw and washer (D), if the vehicle is equipped with a tow hitch.

Remove the bumper.
