Rubber Seal, Check

Check the rubber seal for the following:

• that it is not damaged
• that the air valves are open
• that the profile is properly installed the entire way across the body seam and is not open
• V40: that the white dot (A) points up
• S40: that the white dot (A) points down
• that the wide lip (B) is installed on the inside

Check the closing/adjustment of the rear doors and tailgate/trunk. See Trunk lid (S40 (-04)) or Tailgate (V40).

If the above is not OK:

Check for water leaks along the rubber seal. See Water leak, check .

If there are any water leaks along the rubber seal, see Rubber seal, check before installing .

If the above is OK:

Continue with the steps below if there are no water leaks along the rubber seal.
