Checking the childlock switch: Verification

HINT: After carrying out the repair check that the fault has been remedied as follows:

• Ignition off.
• Reconnect the connectors, reinstall components etc.
• Ignition on.

  Read off the childlock switch status.

  Press the childlock switch, first to its locking position and then to its unlocking position.

  The values should change from HIGH to LOW when the childlock switch is pushed to the relevant position.

  NOTE: A diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the childlock switch is held in the locking/unlocking position for more than 10 seconds.

Are these readings OK. 

• OK 

  OKAY:  Troubleshooting has been completed.

• NOT OK
