Checking the locking signal from the childlock switch

• Ignition on.

  Read off the childlock switch status.

  Depress the childlock switch to its locking position.

  The value should be LOW when the childlock switch is depressed to its locking position.

  NOTE: A diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the childlock switch is held in the locking position for more than 10 seconds with the ignition on.

Is the value OK? 

• YES
