Replacing The Air Quality Sensor

A new air quality sensor with bayonet mounting will be introduced into production W0139. Method for the new air quality sensor. See AIR QUALITY SENSOR .

PREPARATIONS

As the graphics in this service information are used for different model years and/or models, some variation may occur. However, the essential information in the graphics is always correct.

Remove:

the windshield wipers. See WIPER ARM/BLADE, WINDSHIELD, REPLACING
the windshield wiper channel panel:
- For -2005 see COWL, REPLACING .
- For 2006- see COWL, REPLACING .

Open the damper for the air intake (REC).

REMOVING SENSOR

Press the catches as shown. Remove the sensor.

Disconnect the connector.

INSTALLING SENSOR

Position the section of the air quality sensor with the switch.

Press the catches in. Press the sensor into place.

Check that the sensor is securely in place.

INSTALLING THE COVER PANEL AND THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS

Close the damper for the air intake.

Secure the cover for the windshield wiper and windshield wipers. See WIPER ARM/BLADE, WINDSHIELD, REPLACING
