Installing The Hood Release Catch (Left-Hand Side)

Angle in the hood catch together with the latch.

Secure the hood catch using the 2 M6 screws. Finger tighten.

HINT: Do not tighten the screws for the hood catch until the hood is closed (see the illustration). 

Install: 

• the 2 M8 screws for the latch. Tighten
• the vacuum pump
• 2 M6 nuts. Tighten
• the air baffle
• the 2 M6 screws. Tighten.

Close the hood.

Tighten the 2 M6 screws for the hood catch.

Open the hood.

Install the headlamp. See HEADLIGHT/BULB, REPLACING (2003-2006) or HEADLIGHT/BULB, REPLACING (2007-2012).
