Installing Fender Extension
Always use a new molding and new clips when installing.
The car must be at least room temperature, i. e. warmer than 20°C in order for the tape to bond correctly.
Wash the area for the moulding with isopropanol and water, 50/50 mix.
Wipe dry using a lint-free cloth or similar.
Locate the locating pins and clips in the holes.
Press down firmly across the entire moulding and check that the clips engage in the fender.
HINT: Detach about 50 mm of the tape's protective film before pressing the moulding in place. This facilitates when removing the remaining protective film.
Check the position of the moulding.
Remove the rest of the tape's protective film, and apply firm pressure to the moulding with your hand so that the tape adheres to the fender.
Install 5 new pop rivets on the front moulding.
To ensure optimal adhesion, do not wash the car for 72 hours.
