Condition

The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) checks the signal from the occupant weight sensor (OWS).

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module registers an internal fault in the occupant weight sensor (OWS).

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed in ignition positions I, II and III.

Substitute Value 

• Passenger airbag is deactivated.

Possible Source 

• Internal fault in the occupant weight sensor (OWS).

Fault symptom[s] 

• SRS indicator lamp lit
• PAD lamp lit.
