Checking The Wires
Check wire between coolant level guard 1 and engine control unit 8B for a short circuit to voltage supply as described in Short-circuit to supply voltage. Permanent faults , a short circuit to ground as described in Short-circuit to ground, permanent faults and an open circuit as described in Open-circuit, permanent faults .
HINT: The voltage should be 0 V in 1 and 2 with closed coolant level guard (lamp lights) and voltage should be 12 V in 1 with open circuit (lamp off).
Do the necessary corrective action.
