Installing the SIPS airbag on the backrest
- Position the SIPS airbag on the backrest frame.
CAUTION:
The airbag mounting screws must be replaced if the SIPS airbag was deployed. The new screws must be of the same type and quality as the old.
NOTE:
If the SIPS airbag was not activated, see Handling non-deployed airbag modules / pyrotechnic seat belt tensioners .
- Connect the connector to the seat frame
- Install the screws. Tighten to 3 Nm
- Secure the SRS ignition cable on the support in its original position.
