Removing windshield wiper arms

Open the hood.
Remove the cover using a screwdriver.
Slacken off the nut, unscrew a few turns to protect the thread on the wiper mechanism spindle.
Remove the wiper arm from the wiper arm mechanism by supporting a pipe wrench on the nut and pressing off the arm.
Remove the nut.
Remove the wiper arm.
