Removing The SRS Control Module

WARNING:

The battery must not be connected when the control module is being removed or installed.

Remove:

panels and cover. Removing panels and cover .
the screws and connectors. Removing screws and connectors .
1 screw for the bracket and push the bracket and connectors to one side.
1 control module cover.
3 Torx 30 screws for the control module.

lift up the control module.

Remove:

the control module connector by pressing in the catch (1) and folding the striker plate forward (2).
the connector from the control module by following the directional arrow (3) in the illustration.

CAUTION:

Avoid touching the control module terminal pins. There is a risk of static discharge which could damage the control module.
