Backrest Upholstery, Replacement: Preparations: Removing

- Make a note of radio code if anti-theft coded radio is installed.
- Remove battery negative lead.
- Remove seat from car according to Seat removal .
- Remove lumbar adjustment knob. Unscrew in a counter-clockwise direction until stop. Then continue unscrewing counter-clockwise while pulling firmly outwards.
- Remove clamping hooks (use cutting nippers) on the outside upholstery.
- Stretch the upholstery sides downward so that it is released from the clamping hooks. Do not bend up the clips.
- Start working off the upholstery from the seat.
- Then remove all the clamping hooks between the upholstery and the seat padding.
