Condition
Only applies to the S60 with a spaceball type gear selector assembly when the gear selector lever is moved to the side positions 1-2 and 5-Back-up. If the mechanical transmission cable for lateral movement is incorrectly adjusted the gear selector lever scrapes against the assembly.
Possible Source
- Incorrectly adjusted mechanical transmission cable for lateral travel.
Fault symptom[s]
- The gear selector lever scrapes against the assembly
- If the mechanical transmission cable for lateral travel is incorrectly adjusted the entire gear changing pattern is moved one way or the other.
