Active Too Long: Verification

Ignition off
Reconnect connectors, reinstall components.
Start engine.
Turn the air distribution selector to all positions so that the damper motor is activated.
Ignition off
Read off diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) in MCC control module according to Reading And Erasing Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) .

With ignition off all stored diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), with the exception of MCC 5-1-2 in the MCC control module, are erased. Turning ON the ignition will initiate a self-diagnostic sequence in the control module and diagnostic trouble code (DTC) will be reset if there is still a fault.

Is the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) still stored?
