Since a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored this indicates that there is an internal fault in the control module.

Try a new MCC control module according to Replacing Or Adjusting Control Cables/Mechanical Rear Section And Control Panel/Front Section (Manual Climate Control/STANDARD) .
