Checking Cables

Check the control module and the damper motor connectors for contact resistance and oxidation according to Contact Resistance And Oxidation .
Check signal cable between MCC control module #B3 and damper motor terminal 3 for a short-circuit to ground according to Short-Circuit To Ground, Permanent Faults .
Check cable for power supply between MCC control module #B2 and damper motor terminal 2 for an open circuit according to Open-Circuit, Permanent Faults and for a short-circuit to ground according to Short-Circuit To Ground, Permanent Faults .
If the cables are OK, try a new recirculation damper motor.
Remedy as necessary.

- Voltage on signal cable varies between approximately 0-5 V depending on damper motor position. Damper motor power supply should be approximately 5 V. For other values, see Signal Descriptions MCC .
